Fired up some Old School Runescape
today. Been about 10 years since I played this, and oh the nostalgia was overwhelming! And the way things are going now I might end up playing this game even more, and other sidearm games like Grim Dawn and Grim Clicker etc., even less. But most of the session was just getting the tutorial stuff out of the way and focusing on fishing and cooking (food in this game, whether it's cooked fish or any other type of food, heals you at the cost of one "attack"), mainly getting all the logistics taken care of before I start fighting and questing. So, gonna be doing a lot of this for a long time, with very little buying from shops.
And here's the vinyl records I played this evening:
Instrumental Music of the Southern Appalachians
Devo - Duty Now for the Future
Motorhead - Self-Titled Debut
The Residents - Meet The Residents
Jigs on the Green (Irish folk music)Sunday
Played some more Old School Runescape
today. And like yesterday, I continued to work on leveling fishing and cooking. And I eventually got my fishing to level 20 and my cooking to level 25 so I can fish trout, and cook them without burning 100% of them. And I totally forgot that this place is a popular place for people to level their fishing to level 99, which means lots of dropped fish for me to cook. :)>
Eventually my levels looked like this:
Oh, for a quick explanation on what all these skill are, go here
(oh, and the archaeology, divination, dungeoneering, invention, and summoning skills were added only recently, and are not part of Old School Runescape, the version that I play).
Here's the vinyls I played this session:
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
John Coltrane - A Love Supreme
Tchaikovsky - Concerto in D, Opus #35
The Washington Post Marching Band - 50 Fabulous March Favorites
KISS - Self-Titled DebutMonday
Okay, an important annoucement: There is a chance I might be taking a hiatus from this game, just like I did a few years ago to go play Path of Exile. It's to where all I'm doing now is just leveling classes to 80, nothing too involved. I just found out on the Runescape forums that you can make blog posts on there, and since I'm more into that game than this one right now I might be migrating over. But again, this is all speculation right now. I looked on their forums, and you can't even use external links on there so, I don't know....
But anyway, my morning workout was:

So, for my FF XIV/Runescape
session it was same as always, leveling my machinist, running the usual hunts and Pixie quests. I tried to get a leveling roulette going, but it was Aurum Vale, and I wasn't in the mood for wipes, so I bailed immediately. So, he's now stuck at level 71. -_-
And as for the Runescape session I was originally going to focus on crafting all my gear, but come to find out that gathering tools - pickaxes, hatchets, etc - also have combat stat requirements as well. So I was basically forced into grinding out the melee and ranged levels, and eventually I'll have to do the same with magic as well.
But eventually, after I logged off, here's what my stats looked like:
And for the records that I played this evening they were:
Mr. Bungle - Self-Titled Debut
The Alan Parsons Project - I Robot
The White Stripes - Self-Titled Debut
Jethro Tull - Benefit
And I decided to give the vinyl a rest, since I had planned on being on for a long time, and didn't want burn through half my collection in one night. So instead, I decided to fire up some The Joe Rogan Experience, w/ Bill Maher
, something I've never done before, and have that playing in the background.
Buuuut anyway, time to call it a night. <Thank you.>
for reading/watching, everyone. And you all have yourselves a great day/night. ;)>
