TuesdayThis morning off-stream I played some Guild Wars 2 again. This time I created an elementalist, GW2's version of the black mage.
Just a 12-hour fast today. Wasn't really feeling the full 22-hour one. Again, as stated before, I pretty much have my food "loadout" right where I want it, aside from the junk food that I still have that I can't seem to get rid of. So I don't really have as much of a need to go long now.
And today's
Guild Wars 2 session was a pretty good one, with lots of people popping in and out, as well as me working on my new elementalist class, GW2's version of a black mage. Pretty good class. This class has four different stances - aka "attunements" - one for each element:
• Fire: Deals fire damage and burning damage over time.
• Water: Deals ice damage and heals/supports self and other players.
• Air: Lightning damage, fast movement speed (my favorite!), and critical strikes.
• Earth: Deals physical damage, bleed damage over time, and is otherwise defense-oriented.
There's also an arcane element that's not a stance, but it's an element that supports "stance dancing" and critical strikes.
And you can switch between them at any time (although there's a 10ish second cooldown on each one though), although I prefer to just stick with one instead (air).
The records that I played this evening were:
GWAR - Scumdogs of the Universe
Funkadelic - One Nation, Under a Groove
Jethro Tull - Benefit
Richard Pryor - That N****r's Crazy
Instrumental Music of the Southern Appalachians
Jigs on the Green (Irish folk music)
WednesdayThis morning off-stream (I skipped Pinball, since I wasn't in the mood, especially since
Keitaro87 wasn't going to be there to cheer me on) I played some more Guild Wars 2, continuing to work on my elementalist, leveling him up as well as his crafting levels (I
LOVE the fact that leveling crafting also levels you up as well, killing two birds with one stone here). I also pulled my warrior out of the mothballs as well, and got him all fixed up and leveled up, eventually getting him from level 20 to level 32ish, 90% of it via crafting lol.
Oh, and most of this crafting I'm doing is actually from "discovering" recipes, which I find to be way more fun than just mass producing items (you get a huge crafting and character XP bonus for recipe discoveries). And if I'm guessing right, recipes you unlock are
ACCOUNT-WIDE, meaning you don't have to rediscover them on any of your other characters. Definitely beats the World of Warcraft crafting system by a long shot (FF XIV's crafting system will always be it's own animal though.
;)> )
Today's
FF XIV session was just a quickie, just doing the hunts & Pixie quests on my astro. Just wanting to get it over with as quickly as possible so I can switch over to....
Guild Wars 2. Played my warrior today, and I changed him into a new dual-wielding "spin to win" build, foregoing the "gourd & board" mace & shield tank build I had for him. Mechanically, the Gourd & Board build is actually my favorite build, as it's centered around stuns and interrupting, blocking attacks too.
MY kind of tank! (Squeenix should take a page out of this playbook, as tanks these days are just DPSers with enmity). But unfortunately, my reactions are too slow for this build, so I had to go with one with a more proactive approach.
And the LP records that I played this evening were:
Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese
Tschaikovsky - Violin Concerto in D, Opus #35
Metallica - Ride The Lightning
Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick
And okey dokey. Gotta get ready for work. Thanks for watching/reading, everybody. And have yourselves a good day/night.
