Note: I find myself wanting to express my opinions on several topics and I think this is the place to be. My opinions are personal thoughts (and are not a critique), which I am not claiming to be right nor wrong. I am not expecting comments, otherwise I would have went to the official forum. In the event that there would be, I honor and respect everybody else’s opinion, though I’d prefer a healthy conversation over that of a heated debate.
Some Current Opinion(s):
Some FFXIV players have different reactions with Bozja quests and weary of more Ivalice related content
Rasler’s Opinion: SPOILER WARNING
Save the Queen questline has concluded and players were presented again with a choice that depending on how you look at it, may or may not have any impact. Given a choice of whether we will execute Misija or not ourselves was a test of the character’s, not the player’s, moral compass. I played it declining and somebody else did the execution. I heard from players who elected to do the deed, indicated that the WoL was stopped and Misija just died on her own. A tricky play that really doesn’t show you have a choice on the matter.
Somehow I agree that adapting the empire’s laws in new Bozja makes sense. It’s the idea behind he laws and not the people who previously implemented them.
At the end, you get Fran saying she looks forward to working with you again, hopefully in liberating Dalmasca. We heared the same after the end of Return to Ivalice. Some thought it was just a lingering open-ended dialogue that will be left hanging. But here we are in Bozja. Can we really see Ivalice again in the future? We already have alliance raids and relic/levelling content. Looks like Naoki Yoshida would still like to work with Yasumi Matsuno. So we might be looking at a patch in 6.x, high-end raids in 7.0, or even an entire expansion set in Ivalice (8.0).
I love Ivalice, but I’d prefer not to rehash Dalmascan liberation tackled in FFXII in XIV. I’d rather have a new story set in Ivalice lore if we really are going this road of more Ivalice content.
