A Realm Reborn.
So far it has proven to me to be an incredible journey.
It honors the core of what it means to be a Final Fantasy.
I have been slow burning the story for a long long time and finally am about to take my final strides into the ending of the games truly epic first chapter.
I can't help but feel a bit of melancholy towards the end, as is traditional with all Final Fantasies once you can see the end of the road before you. However with this Final Fantasy, unlike most others, the journey will continue beyond the original tale. You can't help but wonder how many of the characters you have come to know and love will continue the journey with you or will be lost to tragedy or simply from memory. The trials and tribulations, laughter, tears and moments of introspection. All cascade in the Final Act, as it should be.
I have leveled all my standing Jobs to level 50, completed the story quests and side quests for all of them. I have completed the hunting log and sight seeing log with the exception of one or two remaining outliers.
I feel I am as ready to complete the journey as I will ever be; yet I cannot help but hesitate even now, it feels like saying goodbye to an old friend. I know it's silly, and I am not truly leaving. But A Realm Reborn I think will always hold a special place in my heart moving forward.
