Well, once again it took a while but I FINALLY achieved a clear on Sophia Unreal. Yay!
It was not as bad as Sephirot and I knew it would not be. As a fight, Sophia is pretty straight forward. Just learn how to do tilts, daughter, and clones and you got over 70% of the fight down. The rest comes with practice and memorization of the nasty stuff.
I will say though, the last part of phase 3 can get pretty hectic when they start layering multiple mechanics on your ass. It's easy to forget something that kills you. (knockback, I am looking at YOU!)
I went through many 'clear' parties to try and clear it, but they all seemed to choke. Some people were obviously NOT ready for a clear and did not even know the basic crap, so of course we failed.
FINALLY though I was able to find a group that knew their stuff. It's funny, the group before fell apart, leaving us with only 3 people including me. I stayed, though I did think of leaving. Eventually it filled up, we went in again and the rest is history. So in hindsight, I guess it's good I did NOT bail. LOL
Oh, after our clear, the group stuck around for a retelling. We managed to do it in one shot but MAN it was CLOSE! HOW close? Well, right at the end at 2% we got hosed by a knockback which killed half the party. Luckily by then we had LB1, which the DPS used RIGHT when the final Sin & Punishment was being cast. Combined with the remaining party DPS, it was enough to kill the boss, so we REALLY 'eeked' out a victory there. LOL
But hey, a win is a win, LB1 for the WIN! ;p

So it has been a couple of weeks now since the clear and the weekly runs have begun.
They have been decent for the most part. I even did one week as a Dancer.
Funny thing is I am actually the one who screwed up the most on some of the runs. I swear, if I mess up and die, I just CAN'T seem to recover properly and continuously mess up throughout the fight.
But yet I have had runs where I was perfect with no deaths, go figure. BLEH!
