It's a script where you can queue up certain commands to be performed in a sequence. You can make some by going to User Macros under you system menu.
https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Macro go here for a list of commands.
For an example, when crafting you often do the same sequence of actions over and over again, and it's not a time-sensitive thing. You can make a set of macros that just execute your crafting actions in sequence, and then run then whenever you need to craft something. Then you can just watch something on your phone and look up to click a button every 40 seconds or so, instead of having to give it your full attention.
Cliffnotes:
(1) Use it for crafting
(2) use it for Nascent Flash (eg)
/merror off
/ac "Nascent Flash" <t>
/ac "Nascent Flash" <2>
/ac "Nascent Flash" <3>
/ac "Nascent Flash" <4>
/ac "Nascent Flash" <5>
/ac "Nascent Flash" <6>
/ac "Nascent Flash" <7>
/ac "Nascent Flash" <8>
/ac "Nascent Flash" <c>
/micon "Nascent Flash"
So what does this all mean?
/merror off: Turns off that annoying warning message when you mash the button.
/ac "Nascent Flash" <t> Allows YOU to target a player to cast Nascent Flash upon them
<2> Co-tank in 8man/ < 3 and 4 healers> 5,6.7.8. dps and <c> for your chicken out in the FATE world
Assuming you have a standard setup tank to dps.
/micon displays the icon of Nascent Flash for reference so you can add it to your hotbar ( will show icon with *) to denote it is a macro
That's really it for warrior macro use
That confuse you more Sarah or answer your question?
That answers my question and also makes me not want to use macros at all.
Thank you for the info.
