Monday Night





Good streams today. And, I decided to keep Caves of Qud. The music was the big draw. Some good stuff. And a lot of it, clocking in at just over two hours. And, on top of that, NONE of it was copyrighted. So, definitely a keeper game. But, now, it's competing with HoloCure for the second stream slot. My stream game limit is two. Any more than that, and the play times start getting stretched thin, hardly being able to do anything on ANY of the games. Best to keep it to a minimum.

Buuuut anyway, I started with my usual Path of Achra, playing my Torturer character. Got as far as the final boss, where a rare double KO occured! But, started up some more failed runs until I had one with a "Raiden, the Bloody Baboon" character that I managed to take all the way to the sub-boss. But will he make it to the final boss? We'll see come tomorrow.

Qud kinda went the same way, but worse. A fair amount of dying, and hardly being able to get anything going. Lots of goofing up as well, which is why I'm just fine with perma-death (there's a "restart at checkpoint" as well as a "story mode" option, but I don't really care for those right now). It gives me a chance to start over.

And this was one of those rare streams where none of my regulars came by, but a few new visitors did. Dreaded_Nick (his 2nd time around), techno_will, and Boogalo, all dropped by for a while, bringin' some chat. And they all seem to be huge CoQ fans, constantly giving me advice and stuff. Always helpful (even though I still keep dying anyway lol)! But, again, I'm not sure how I'm going to juggle CoQ and HoloCure now. Maybe alternate between the two, but we'll see come tomorrow.

Tuesday

Aaaand episode two of Hajime No Ippo sees Hajime perfecting the art of, leafgrabbing. After this, ol' Elvis decides to break him in by bringing him to the gym and get his ass kicked by a more seasoned boxer. I'm glad his Mom approves. Some cool music in this show though, I just noticed. Really rock-ish. I kept thinking it would've been some Final Fantasy sounding music for some reason. Anyway, we'll see how the fight goes in Ep. 3



So, another triple-header stream today. I ended up waking up earlier than normal, so I figured what the heck. Path of Achra, sucked. It was one failed run after another, most of the time not even getting halfway into the journey. If I'd have known it was going to be like this I'd have just skipped the game entirely.

And next was Caves of Qud, where it was more of the same. I actually tried a "Wander" mode, where nothing is hostile towards you ie. pacifist mode. But I couldn't get into it. Didn't feel right. So, back to classic permadeath. *sigh* Did a bit better this time, reaching level 5, and then getting killed the very moment I entered what I THOUGHT was a peaceful city. <Oops!>

HoloCure though, went pretty good. I did an "endless" score-based run with Kaela, and then a stage clear with Subaru. I also did a bunch of logistical stuff in the game as well.

Oh, and other than yangwright, and a new visitor named Hero78TV, who is fairly new to HoloCure, the stream was a dead one. No longer the weekend, it seems. :/

Wednesday

No Hajime no Ippo this morning. Instead, I started watching Robinson Crusoe on Mars (all hail the YouTube algorithm!), and old 1960s movie about, SURPRISE!, an astronaut stranded on Mars. Not too bad, actually. Got about 30-45 minutes in and suddenly got a hankering to watch Ringu. So, doing a bit of movie watching this morning. ;)

Okay. So, that's gonna do it for me. Yet another (one-day, being off for two) workweek. *sigh* <Take care>, guys. And have yourselves a good night/day. ;)
