...the Gift that Keeps On Giving. That is his title. He is a Lalafell Retainer for Miku Argentea, works as a Monk and assistant instructor, and is also my main partner and bonded interest. I may be a Hyur midlander and he is a Lalafell Plainsfolk, but we are one, and he is the person who collaborates on song parodies and writes my Lodestone entries and others in my Misadventures Six clique. He also document's Miku's entries and thoughts. He does a lot.
Bongaboi's nameday is the Second Sun of the Fourth Umbral Moon. Thst means Rhalgr is his patron deity. Which explains why he works as a Monk. I decided that I wanted to offer something to Boi. He knocked on my door. "Come on in, Boi," I said to Bonga as he opened the door. I was dressed in my usual Faire Joi pastel pink, pastel pink false nails, pink cherry blossom corsage and white Southern Seas Tanga. "I hope you don't mind the room being...stuffy. The people are fixing the air con right now."
"I am not minding, Bae," he said, flopping on the bed after taking off his shoes. He sniffed the air. "Smells delicious..."
"It's popoto soba. Go have some, I made plenty."
"You truly know the way to a Boi's heart," Bonga said, as he had a few slurps, to go with some tempura and rice balls. "You made a lot!"
"It's your nameday, right? So I cooked you a banquet, with TsuTsu's oyome touch. Eheheh!"
Bonga gave me a nice smooch. "My dear, I did not expect anything less." Another bite of tempura. "Crispy, and not soft, warm and fluffy on the inside. Truly a work of the kami if he was a gormandizer! You're done it again!"
"A Bae needs to know how to cook. It's the reason why I am a Level 70 culinarian. Who else is going to provide you your meals, darling? It's me, your Bae! Isn't that right, sweetums!" I said, pinching Bonga's stuffed cheeks.
"Nnnnnngh, mou! Let me eat first, honey, I was out in Limsa selling Miku's work, godsdammit, let me eat! Hmph!" He's a big eater, is Bonga. He's really tall for a Lalafell but he works hard, likes teaching Miku and is really hungry. He uses a lot of energy. "And don't rush me either, it's my nameday, in case you forgot."
"I didn't forget, hence the spread."
"Good." He continued to work on my cooking, munching happily like a hungry pup looking to recharge in the shade of Shishu. "So how are things?"
"Thyrus and Stardust Rod got upgraded to Zenith, and I completed all my Scholar job quests and I also worked on farming gil for my Caster gear. I also did some materia farming and also happened dto craft some HQ stuff on the side in Limsa."
"Oh, good, put the drops to use and crafted them into useful material. One gil cheaper than the cheapest, right?"
"Always made sure my retainers were at full stack. Now I just need armor for my body, hands and legs and I can help out Y'mhitra Rhul. But I wonder, should I switch to my Lalafell form...?"
"I wouldn't do it. Your Lalafell form is already doing work as your main retainer in Limsa, no need," said Bonga, stuffed. "Have you thought about maybe, you know, working on your crafting and gathering job quests?"
"Oh yeah, I need to soooo work on that," I replied. "I have so many new quests I can actually do. But I am gonna need to stock up on gil so I can buy the materials I need to clear. Maybe I need to finish up my business with Wawalago first at the Fisherman's Guild or something."
"That would be a start." Bonga's stomach growled. "Is there more?" I slided over another bowl of popoto soba. "Capital! Excuse me while I work on this." We talked for the longest time about crafting and gathering. It went on for a while.
Afterwards, Bonga rested on my nice heart bed, which had room for three. "Man, I am stuffed," he said. He turned around and saw me. His eyes lit up.
"Did you want me to fill you up some more, Boi?" I said, about to lift my top.
"Kahori, Bae, no, if you lift up your joi I will...I will...!" I did. "OOHHHHHHHH!!!" He wrapped his arms and legs around me and buried his face into my thick cleavage. "The best...mmmmm...nameday present....mmm....everrrokjgoihsdzfoasjkvb..." Minutes later, he fell fast asleep like a tender young babe as I cradled him, my top off as his head rested on my chest, my succor lulling him to sleep. In the distance, the faint lyrics of "Revolutions" was playing.
I looked in the distance, holding Bongaboi tight, thinking, my work is never done. I do have to address those other pieces of work so I can do all that. But perhaps, I would have to do that...as a potato. Happy nameday, Bongaboi. May you ever walk in the love...of the Bangabae.
