Finally, beat Aurum Vale with a wonderful Free Company member to help me out! Thank goodness, that dungeon just gives some people a lot of trouble, and it can be a pain, but it is done. (And if they didn't change the Grand Company promotion requirement recently, I wouldn't have had to go through that nightmare. I had waited so long on duty finder, just to get paired in a group of people who complained and left. On the bright side, I was able to get some gear that I could try to spiritbond and make materia with, so that's always nice.(Need that savage aim III, hoping to make some out of what I got!)
On a different note, I decided to crank out crafting since I neglected it since phase 4. I mainly wanted to get one battle class to 50 (my Dragoon) and then work on getting my Carpenter up there as well (which is going a lot faster than I expected!) Basically, I want to try and build my own relic weapon, because I think it would be more fun for me to do it myself! So I finished CM and decided to get to work!
Crafting is leveling faster than I expected. Now first off, I'm not one of those who have all of the crafting classes going at the same time. I just don't have time for all of that. But I did level culinarian and weaver to 15, to get the skills, and continue where I left off with carpentry.
Leves are the best invention for leveling crafting, ever! I am so glad I had them all saved up because it has been amazing! I used a few to get myself to 20, which wasn't that bad. Then started doing the multiple turn-in ones where I could turn in 3 items and repeat 3 times. Turning in high quality sky-rocketed my experience. I found a pattern that works for me and I don't think I'll have a problem making it to 50 at this rate.
