Ariciont Von Croix, son of Arimos Von Croix, was born in Gridania. His mother passed in child birth. His father never spoke of her, so Ariciont never asked. Ariciont was raised in the military beside his father who was General of the Bloodline Legion, a special ops group who was incharge of frontline protection of the Gridanian boarders. As a youth, Ariciont helped arm soldiers, train, and clean up the battlefields of bodies after bloody wars. During the Garlean War, he was too young himself to fight but seen more bloodshed than any young Elezen should at his young age.
When he turned 16 the war was over but the Bloodline Legion was still at the front lines protecting the boarders, so Ariciont, now a soldier in his father's army, was introduced first hand to the battle. His father took him under his wing and taught him a lot about war. He passed on his faith in Halone to him and tought Ariciont to use him as a guide when all else failed. Ariciont proved to be a chip off the old block, proving his one on one battle skills were almost unmatched in the legion.
When Ariciont reached the Age of 21, his father retired from the Legion, but instead of handing over leadership to his son, he passed it off to his 2nd in command, Lieutenant Zerifiont Dubai. In Arimos' mind, Ariciont was to young and reckless to command the legion so couldn't leave command to him. Arimos, without even a goodbye, left Ariciont to serve Gridania for Limsa Lominsa for peace and quiet.
Ariciont served in the Bloodline Legion under the newly crowned General Dubai for 7 years. Earning a reputation in the legion and throughout the Black Shroud, as protector of the people. The men and women of the Bloodline Legion followed Ariciont more than the new General, including a female Lieutenant by the name of Karine Molyneux, of whom was Ariciont's best friend. Propaganda had ruined the Legion as words got to a jealous General Dubai that Ariciont was looking to take over the legion, which lead to Dubai challenging Ariciont for the title of General. The battle insued infront of all the Legion, and Ariciont was victorious. The soldiers in unison chanted "General Von Croix" as he stood with axe covered in Dubai's blood.
His reign as General didn't last long, as leaders of Gridania sought it best that Ariciont be imprisioned for the Murder of the General. Though the battle was legal in the eyes of the Legion, Gridania did not honor such a rule. Ariciont was imprisioned and the Bloodline Legion, disbanded. Ariciont was released into Outer Heaven's watch as bodyguard to Seraphine Winter and now he has enlisted into the Eorzean Guard.
