I was born in the Lily Hills of Gridania, 4th Sun of the eighth umbral moon, 1477 sixth astral era, just a few minutes before my twin sister Llysandra.
We are descended from a noble Elezen family that can trace its lineage back to the founding of Ishgard and Gridania. Our father, Theobalin Snowplover II, was an advisor to the Seedseers.
We have an older half-sister, Marissa, from our fathers first marriage to Xanthe Boudafair. Since it was mostly a political arrangement, the eventual dissolvement was inevitable.
Our beloved mother, Llira Vellegrace, was a talented bard and songstress. Our father was much in love with her.
In 1557, when Llyssa and I were still younglings, we were returning from a visit to our mothers relatives in Ishgard, our retinue was set upon by Ixal and our mother fell victim to one of their arrows. Even though Llyssa and I were fortunate to have escaped, I received a nasty scar, and developed an intense animosity to the Ixal. In time this skirmish was lamented as the assault on Griffin's crossing.
Years later during an assault on Natalan, our father Theobalin was fatally wounded and died shortly thereafter. Soon after that, the Calamity struck and then everything really went to hell.
