I got to thinking while I was listening to 'Festival of the Hunt' from the FFIX OST by Nobuo Uematsu, and thought it would be a great extension to the interactive content in FFXIV if the casual events that the main characters attended in past FF series were incorporated into the gameplay, somewhere in future patches along the way.
Maybe even a surreal 'Dream Phase' players could initiate that present opportunities to gain items from inside the dream, 'Karma', fight against 'Nightmares' centered around player-based actions before-hand (like an in-game Rorschach Test that allows individual players to interpret and breathe life into their worst enemies and fears.)
I know the FFXIV Patch Development Team is very on-edge and over-worked about the content players demand/want to see to rejuvenate the memories and excitement of being part of FFXI, one of the best productions ever released by SE.
That being acknowledged, I have faith in all the SE Staff that will continue to lead Eorzea into unity and prosperity that other companies can learn from and become influenced by.
