As the hunt for that delicious rabbit continues, I'm reminded of my first experience hunting high value targets.
It was a frigid morning in the highlands of Coerthas. My objective was to locate and eliminate the beast named Naul. The poster on the board warned against novice hunters, however I was confident in my abilities to track down this monster.
Unfortunately, I neglected to notice that Naul could fly.
It took me a while to find the dragon, and it was only through the assistance of my fellow adventurers that I was able to pinpoint its exact location, but there I was facing off and preparing for battle.
As the beast hovers, I attempt to soothe my companion knowing that it would be a tough fight, and I would need his help to eliminate the threat. In a moment of clarity, that felt like time had stopped entirely, I could see my surroundings perfectly as I moved in to attack. From Naul's Leathery wings, to the random snowflakes falling at the time. Every detail was not lost on me, and then we clashed.
Naul was a formidable opponent, and at one point, I feared that I would return to the aether unsuccessful in my hunt, however as I was about to give up, I felt my health return to me. Off in the distance I notice a strange character holding a book. This scholar pulled me back from the brink of death. With his help, I am able to stand here today having successfully claimed Naul's bounty.
As I turn to thank the scholar for his assistance, I see him vanish into the aether. To this day I have not found him, and will continue to search in order to show my appreciation.
