A lone Miqo'te with a long dark conplex history and past, sworn to live by his grandfarther's destiny and ascend to take his rightful place among the Dark Knights of eras past. Maiyo was born an orphan not knowing who his real parnets were, he was found and raised by Hyurs in a village in the outskrits of Eorzea. As he grew up as a young boy Maiyo always felt unwelcomed no matter where he went always being picked on by the other children in the village and at one point Maiyo lost all of his sanity when he was tricked and tormented by one of the boys from his classes who made fun of his appearance as a Miqo'te this casued Maiyo feeling engraged with hatred as he grabbed the boy nearly chocking him to death. As the boy was trying to break free from Maiyo's grasp he could hear Maiyo speaking in a unknown language in a dark tone, terrified looking into his eyes Maiyo's eyes changed from orange to a "buring" red color as well his pupils sharping. The boy was able to break free and ran for his life terrified! None of the other children ever spoke of the incident again... As time went on and years passed rumors spread about him on where he was truly from and eventually learned the truth about his real family's history and their connection with the Dark Knights as Maiyo wanted to know the acts his grandfarther committed as he himself was one of the first bare the soul stone. Maiyo has always wondered if he could ever live up to him and truly awaken the darkness in his heart, traveling far and wide searching for answers, enduring his hardships in labor, being mocked by his race, and losing control of his emotions. As far as he could remember it all started when he arrived... in Ul'dah.
